My Post-Work Out Routine: ✨ FOAM ROLLERS & STRETCHING✨ Foam rollers can be used as a warm up before your workout, or as a cool down. I prefer to use foam rollers at the end of my workout to relieve muscle tightness and soreness. Foam rolling is a self-myofascial release technique that loosens up the muscles, improves joint mobility, and decreases inflammation. If you are the type of person that feels hindered to continue working out if they are still sore the next day from their previous workout, then I highly recommend using a foam roller and stretching at the end of every workout.

Can’t stay committed to a work out routine? WRITE IT OUT! Studies show that we are 42% more likely to achieve our goals if we write them down. When I’m feeling unmotivated, I’ll sit down and write out in detail in my journal which workouts I plan on doing and on which days. That way before the week has even started, I have already designated time throughout the week to accomplish my fitness goals and to ensure I make it into the gym. We all get busy and caught up with our lives, but writing down our workouts and planning when to do them is only setting ourselves up for success! 💪

This move is the hammer curl with a backwards lunge. I used a 10 lb weight in each arm, but you can increase the weight to increase the difficulty! Abs start in the kitchen! Yesterday I recorded for you guys what I ate during the day. I tend to eat the same items until I get sick of them, who else is guilty of that? 😉 Lately I’ve been loving this turkey bacon wrap paired with a green juice for lunch. It’s filling, tasty, and I don’t feel like I’m eating healthy, even though I am! The apple in the green juice makes it sweeter, so it’s easier to drink than a traditional bitter green juice. For dinner I ordered my favorite salad from a local cafe, a kale and lentil salad. I like to add grilled salmon on top for added protein. This salad is full of veggies and omega 3s to keep your skin glowing, your hair thick and strong, and your tummy toned! It’s important to remember that what you eat is more important than how often you work out. If you’re not fueling your body with the nutrients it needs, you’re not going to see the results you want!

At home resistance band workouts are such an easy way to squeeze a workout into a busy (or lazy 😉) schedule. In addition, weight and resistance are the keys to building a booty! ✨ In this video I did fire hydrants, donkey kicks, donkey kick pulses, and donkey kicks with extension. This workout might seem light, but it definitely packs a punch. Do this for a total of 10-15 minutes and breathe through the burn!
