Onwards to Namibia! Here I got to spend some wonderful days in Etosha national park, game driving. Incredible and humbling to see so many spectacular animals up close. Highlights include seeing the lions return from their hunt in the morning and sitting by the watering hole at night watching the rhinos and elephants interacting. Also got to visit the lovely ladies of the Himba tribe, which I unfortunately can’t share any pictures of.

Big shoutout to the amazing wine and food in Cape Town. Tasted so much new food, including ostrich, crocodile, springbook, and oryx. Always paired with the most exquisite wine. Recommend everyone going to Cape Town to take one of the wine trams that stops at different vineyards in the area. The wine definitely tasted better and better throughout the day ;)
Did unfortunately not get to taste any local South African dick, but hooked up with a cute guy at the hotel which was definitely fun!

Cape Town is a paradise for thrill seekers, and we got our share of the thrill by cage diving with sharks. Obvious trigger warning on this post if you are afraid of sharks or the ocean. Getting so close and personal with such giants of the sea definitely got the heart pumping, but felt oddly peaceful at the same time. The next day we opted for a more chill activity, and went to the beach. Boulders beach, besides being beautiful in its own right, is also notable for being the only place in the world where you can swim with penguins in the wild. As penguins are my favorite animal, you can imagine I had the time of my life. Two amazing days, where I got to tick off two major bucket list items!

On our first few days in Cape Town we explored the city and went hiking up Table Mountain (definitely a challenging hike). Loved the colorful neighborhood of Bo-Kaap, the vibrant waterfront, and biking along the seaside promenade.

For the last couple of days we headed to the old town of Nizwa, where we got transported back in time with hectic markets, old forts, and smells of spices everywhere. Tasted camel meat here, which was a new experience for me! We also headed up in the mountains, to what is known as Omans Grand canyon. A nickname which it more than lives up to. Over all an amazing finish to an amazing trip!

On day 5 we headed into the desert for an unforgettable glamping experience. I will never forget our drive into the desert over huge rolling dunes, and drinking tea with the beduins in their tent under the starry skies. Also got time to brush up on my sand boarding skills and be a little bit naughty 😈

On day 3 we drove to a small town called Tiwi, and stayed in a lovely little villa by the ocean for two nights. No time to relax though, as the area is particularily famous for its Wadis, which are rock canyons often filled with rivers and lush vegetation. I will say hiking and swimming through these canyons is a must while visiting Oman!

The capital city of Muscat is a calm and relaxing city, but still a feast for the senses.
