I hope your weekend has been a beautiful one ♥️ mine is super busy but in a good fam damily kind of way *(it’s my mamas bday wknd!)* 🌹 We’re going to this glass painting event later! Im excited to see what that’s all about haha. I’m also super happy that my cramps are slowing down and shark week is almost over 🙏🏼 if this week isn’t too busy with (startup) business stuff then I want to try and be more active on my pages! I’m totally an “all or nothing” kind of person. Passion runs through my veins and I’m learning to embrace that more and more. But let’s be real—it’s tough to be this way and also feel the pressure to excel at everything. I want to be great at everything I do gosh darnnit! 😂
Lately, I’ve been stretching myself thin. I’ve tried to be great at my work, hit the gym like a champ, eat enough to see gains, stay sober from alcohol and weed, be a good best friend, aunt, sibling, and daughter, and even juggle business partner duties and part-time bookkeeping. It’s a lot, and sometimes it feels like all these things gang up on me.
I’ll admit—I’m my own harshest critic. Take this job, for instance. If I’m not on top of messages, social media, new content, and being present in Discord, I start feeling like a hot mess. But you know what? I think it’s time to redefine my version of greatness. 🤓
To me, being great isn’t about reaching some lofty potential. It’s about showing up, doing my best in the moment (even if it’s not superhero-level best like I want), and finding joy in the process. It’s not about having a million things on my plate and feeling overwhelmed. It’s about having goals—for my present self and my future self—and realizing that each step is a gift to that future version of me. I don't have to do these things but I get to do these things 😌 I can’t wait to see what that version of me looks like.
