I had a free room offered to me from MFC and as always I’m very grateful but I’ve been thinking it over and I’ve decided that I won’t be attending AVN this year due to the strike at Virgin Hotel Las Vegas.
I haven’t been as active lately for personal reasons and so because it wouldn’t hurt me financially to cancel, I would prefer to not cross the picket line.
No judgment to anyone else who will be attending because they have spent a great deal of money to be able to go, or have contracts and obligations to the convention or show.
Personally I have kept a low profile for the past 12 months because I needed some time off after a bit of burnout and I was planning on using AVN as a bit of a launching point to come back to my normal streaming activities but after learning about the strike and accompanying protests, I’ve decided attending this year would just not be an experience I would enjoy participating in knowing what I would be walking into and even indirectly supporting.
For those of you going, have a great time, Hopefully I’ll see you there next year.
I’m planning a Valentine’s Day party on MFC… Going to be giving away lots of free stuff. Physical, digital, and interactive. There will be custom tip menus, games, special Valentine’s Day activities… hopefully I’ll be able to announce everything by Monday but here’s my save the date just in case you need some extra time. I will be doing a morning and an evening show.
