On the topic of bookstores, a lot of my best finds have been at thrift stores. As I've told a few of you, I have a horrible habit of wanting to adopt all of the books at the thrift store, but the good news is that I've gotten quite good at finding the good stuff, in the wasteland that often is a thrift store's book section. Last week, I found the last Margaret Atwood book from the Oryx and Crake series that I needed, Welcome to Night vale, an interesting book on the history of plagues, a guide to making kombucha, and a tiny, miniature copy of the Joy of Cooking!! It feels so good to find something you actually want to read at the thrift store, and I'm so glad I've given so many books a good home!

I had the pleasure of going to the bookstore earlier this week thanks to a lovely subscriber, and I just love everything about it. I love walking in and instantly being encapsulated by the quiet and reverence of a place meant to house the written word. I love the smell, I love walking down the aisles and picking out books solely by the covers and fonts and images, and I especially love picking a book up, feeling its weight, stroking its spine, and feeling the pages rustle. Books are one of my favorite things in this world, and I will never not get excited when a trip to the bookstore is scheduled!

What's your favorite season? Fall is probably my favorite, cause Halloween, and the leaves, and the slow turn from warm to cool is quite nice after a hot summer, but spring is also so wonderful, especially now that I'm quite into gardening. Winter has always been too dark and dreary for me (I just want to sleep and eat lol), and while summer definitely has its benefits, it's just too hot for me a lot of the time, and with the smoke from the wildfires, it's so hard to properly enjoy summer.

Isn't porn something? I'm curious: is there a particular video or pornstar that really stuck with you over the years? Not necessarily the best porn you've ever seen, but something super memorable, or something that was a formative memory for you. I can think of two:
There was a video I saw years ago called Kate Goes Dogging, or something like that, and it was a lovely lady getting plowed by a bunch of horny gentlemen on the side of the road in the UK somewhere. Hey, I just wanted to give y'all an update on the rebill rewards for this month.
I've been super busy with work, and family, and my animals, and I think the rebill rewards video and photoset are going to be a few days late this month. I take deadlines pretty seriously, so I'm not too happy about this, but I also only want to send out content that achieves my standards of quality, and I don't think rushing to get content out just to make a deadline is a good idea.

It's just the tiniest bit nice out, and I'm daydreaming about summer lol. I didn't go to the beach at all last summer, and I need to remedy that this year. There aren't really any nude beaches around me, but I'd like to experience being naked on a beach next summer at some point. 😈 I also want some good ice cream. I couldn't tell you the last time I had an excellent ice cream cone.

Are any of you watching Yellowjackets? I got back into it a few weeks ago to prepare for the new season, and while I don't think it's a perfect show or anything, it has a lot of elements that I quite like. In particular, I love the ensemble cast of wonderful female actors, and the setting of the PNW. I do think they're trying to do way to much with it, but I think the 'Lord of the Flies, but with girls' premise is fun, and I think examining trauma across a lifetime and within a group is quite interesting.

Good morning gang!! how are you on this beautiful Tuesday? As usual, I'm thinking about food lol.
What's the best sandwich? Of all the food questions, this has to be one of the hardest to answer. There are SO MANY good sandwiches, and bread is also an incredible and wonderful thing, so like, how can you name just one? I think my favorite is a banh mi - the bread is so crispy, and the spices and cilantro are just perfect. Second would have to be a thanksgiving leftovers sandwich. My recipe is mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey, gravy, and cranberry sauce served open face, on sourdough if possible, but I used to live by a sandwich shop that served a thanksgiving sandwich with hickory sticks on it as well, and it was excellent. Also, if you've never had a Japanese egg salad sandwich, go find one now!! Kewpie mayo is an S tier condiment, and it makes all other may taste depressing.
