Happy Veterans Day!🇺🇸 Thank you for your Service! And if you've been here awhile, you know my dad was a service-disabled Vietnam vet (we celebrate him on Memorial Day now, however). The Fisher House is free family housing for veterans' families at the VA hospitals for them to stay when their war fighter is getting treatment (which could be long term and too expensive for hotels for the family to be nearby)
My mom & sister & I stayed in Fisher Houses many many times over the years when my dad would be getting treatments in the VA hospital, sometimes for as long as a month
