I think one of the biggest reasons I developed such a strong love and obsession with cartoons, illustration, and character design (besides basically being raised by television) is the power of storytelling through these mediums. So much can be expressed through a simple gestural sketch or color palette, and artists continue to push the boundaries of what we know to be art. It is limitless and ever-changing. I'm excited to see where animation takes us in the future 💖

In Disney's 1937 animated film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," Snow White is a princess living with her wicked stepmother, the Queen. The Queen, obsessed with being the fairest in the land, becomes enraged when her magic mirror reveals that Snow White has surpassed her in beauty. She orders a huntsman to find Snow White, but he cannot go through with it and urges her to flee. I can't stop thinking about the conspiracy theory that Pinky from "Pinky and the Brain," despite his silly demeanor, is the true genius, while Brain, despite his intelligence and elaborate world domination plans, is the one who is less intelligent.
