One of my shows this month was postponed until late November (thanks Covid), so yesterday I treated myself by fucking off to the ren faire and seeing all the friends I haven't seen in years. One of them is the amazingly talented Raine of Reliquary Arcanum (@reliquaryarcanum on IG). I always find something I can't live without in his tent, and this necklace/belt is my latest obsession. As soon as I got home I ran out in my yard to take these selfies.

When I make costumes I tend to stick to accent pieces, and mainly stick to bones and leather. This costume is a rare occurence when I flex some sewing skills as well. It was inspired by one of those memes that fishes for personal information, but my result was the Queen of Stars and Bones. With a name like that, how could I resist?

I will preface this by saying I have never edited a video before in my life, and this attempt was a very fun, but steep learning curve for me. 😅
I'm a leather worker in addition to my day job and other time-consuming hobbies, and Halloween season is always a marathon for me. I recorded this in my living room because my actual workspace is a D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R. It's rough, it's maybe a little lame, but I'm glad I made it anyway, because I can only get better from here! Enjoy!

Would have posted earlier, but as soon as I got home I noticed a juvenile racoon stumbling around my back yard, and long story short, it very likely is rabid and I spent a while with animal control trying to hunt it down without realizing until it was too late that I was knees deep in posion oak.
SO! Here's some oldies-but-goodies while I bleach my skin and try to alert my neighbors with outside animals that there's a rabid racoon on the loose.

In the beforetimes, I had the great privilege to travel to Iceland with the amazing photography duo Lunahzon/ Stag & Sparrow. We explored the Western fjords and found so many incredible spots (and so, so many waterfalls) for shoots or just sheer enjoyment of nature. We dubbed this spot just off the "highway" Autumnland. Now, when I say highway, imagine the nicest dirt trail you've ever seen, and that is a highway in rural Iceland. As I wait for the leaves to turn in my neck of the woods, I thought I'd share a photoset with beautiful autumn colors.

Sold this headdress today after having it as a part of my inventory for years. I had found some gemsbok horns at an antique mall and was very much influenced by the new-at-the-time Wonder Woman movie. I dubbed it the Crusty Unicorn headdress, and as happy as I am to send it along to new adventures, I'll miss it a little bit.
I still have more gemsbok horns. Think I should make another? Perhaps black and red?
