book review day! death note is my favorite anime and manga ❣️ i’m biased tho because it was the first one i watched / read. i recently reread the series as this all in one edition instead of my other version. i love death note because it does a great job of exploring and tackling moral grey areas. someone with weak values might read it as light being the good guy while most of us know he isn’t. i love L so much i had the biggest crush on him back in the day with his weird lil quirks haha. i love how this series shows the reader that legality is not the same as morality and that one persons idea of justice is not necessarily ethical.

tuesdays are now officially book review days! i use to post book reviews on here a lot and idk why i stopped but i wanna start again :) walden is my all time favorite i love thoreau sooo very much.i recently reread this while up in the mountains in my families cabin because it fit the vibe perfectly. this copy also had civil disobedience in the back but i’m just gonna rate walden for now. i think living the way he did was so admirable but i also love that it was just an experiment and he went back to “normal life” after just two years. i sometimes forget how old the thing i’m reading is because we’re still dealing with all the issues from 300 years ago . 10/10 of course. i promise my next reviews will be more reviewy lol
