Before and after (so far - a lot more to do.) I did everything wrong the first time …. And sometimes second and third tries were needed. To be fair I changed my plan’s dramatically. But I’m very proud of what I’ve done so far! The trim is left. It will make it look very nice and finished, and be a lot safer. :) Drilling into re-enforced metal SUCKS ASS. I’d like to redo the top area as well, where the old plywood is. But it’s just ugly, there’s nothing dangerous about it like the area below. Glad they have nice clean walls now they can’t chew on :)

Farm update!!! After completing the barn Reno’s (mostly) I realized… yeah maybe owning a horse is too much work for one person. I’ve found a boarding stable not too far from me and it’s only gonna cost me about $125 more a month than I’m already paying in hay! If you don’t know what boarding is… basically you pay their rent to live at another persons barn and be fully cared for! So someone else will do all the cleaning and feeding and exhausting stuff, and I can visit as much as I want to hang out with him and ride, which is the actual fun part! However, basil still needs a friend! I may not be able to care for a 1400 lbs horse, but I can totally handle two minis! It’s literally 1/7th of the work! So on Monday, this old lady is coming to the farm, and Dez will be moving to his new stables. I haven’t fully decided on a name for her, but I’m thinking gingerbread, or Ginny for short :) she is a senior herself, 18 years old. They live to 25 or 30. So this means I’m still sticking with my senior animal retirement farm ethos. I’m very very very excited! I’m also very much looking forward to not worrying so dang much and having a lot more free time to do more stuff with you guys! Can’t wait to introduce her properly on Monday.
