Hanoi turned out to be such a vibrant city! But there are a few slightly scary moments too, haha!๐ฐ While I was walking in the park one evening, I saw two huge rats dart out of the bushes and run across the path right in front of me!๐ญ I was so scared, haha!๐ I also noticed the air in the city is quite polluted. At the hotel, they told me that sometimes Hanoi has days when the air is the most polluted in the world!๐ฎ But aside from that, Iโm really enjoying everything โ the people here are incredibly kind and welcoming, especially the kids!๐ฅฐ When they see me, they say hello in English and try to show off all their language skills โ asking how I am and what my name is. Itโs so sweet!๐ The contrasts in this city are just wild โ one moment Iโm walking past a huge Louis Vuitton store, and a few minutes later I see an old man sitting naked on a stool, washing himself right on the street in front of his house! Itโs actually really interesting how homes are set up here and how personal space is understood. In many houses, thereโs no wall on the ground floor at all โ so u can literally see everything happening inside from the street!๐ธ Someoneโs watching TV on the couch, someoneโs cooking in the kitchen, or thereโs a grandpa taking a bathโฆ haha!๐ I have so many impressions! Btw, the vegan restaurant from the Michelin guide turned out to be amazing! What surprised me most was the dessert โ it was salty!!๐ญ The restaurant is called Cแป ฤร m!
