Tea time before more holiday stuff with the family. Let me get settled and have a chat with you 🌿 🍵 As you might already know, New Year holiday in Japan is very important in Japanese culture. The virus situation looks over the festivities, but we are celebrating it differently this year. On the first day of 2021, I started the day at 5:15 AM, because my little cousin (who is 9) just couldn’t wait a moment longer to begin the year. I absolutely hated the first hour of the year trying to stay warm in the empty playground, not off to the very best start... On the first day of 2021, I eventually got a blessed morning sleep and while the family members munch on osechi (Traditional holiday meal) and I was having this huge craving for warm cookies in bed.. [btw, does this ever happen to you? You’re in front of the feast and you start wanting some random food... or am I crazy? ] No shrine visits for the first day of 2021 just to avoid the crowd and we mainly focused on training the grandparents to play the board game with us. And the game got quite heated after a while... On the first day of 2021, I ate sushi (delivered from a sushi restaurant nearby) that we usually do. I also managed to get my cousin with me to make some chocolate cookies later that day so, in fact, I had a very good time! We’re now on the 2nd day of the year and things are still looking good. Some of you specifically told me to do more “life updates” and had enough of my naked picture 💦 😂 So let me know if you enjoyed this type of post! Have a great weekend, you guys!
