New Year’s Day Thoughts: Taking Control
✨
“Nothing changes on New Year’s Day.” That line from U2’s song hit me soooo different this year. It’s true—just flipping a calendar doesn’t change anything 🗓️✨. If I want life to be better, I have to move. So here I am, holding myself accountable and making some real, slightly messy, but totally honest goals for 2025.
✨
First—hair goals. My dream? The second photo kind of hair 🐐✨. Yes, the goat with that gorgeous, flowy mane. I’ve been so lazy about trims or doing any real care, but this year? Oils, masks, scalp massages, and maybe even brushing my hair properly for once 😅. By December, I want that silky, fabulous vibe. Goat level, baby!
✨
Second—talking to people. I realized how little I actually chat with anyone IRL. It’s so crazy how much I live online, but when it comes to real convos, I barely talk 😅. So! I started this convo log. Like, every day I write down who I talked to, how long, and what we even talked about. It’s kind of weirdly fun, and I can’t wait to see how it pushes me out of my little bubble 💬.
✨
And lastly—being proactive. Nothing changes if we don’t do the work, right? Whether it’s my career, my friendships, or just feeling like I’m alive, I’m committing to moving forward. Even baby steps are progress 🐾.
If you’re also thinking about some changes, let’s cheer each other on this year! Here’s to real growth, goat-level hair, better convos, and making 2025 ours.
Love,
Rikako 💌
