An extremely truncated version of the grand pas de deux from the last time I did Nutcracker 2019- check out my fat ass. This is act two, where Clara enters the kingdom of the sweets, ruled by the Sugar Plumb Fairy.
I’m dancing the Sugar Plumb Fairy Cavalier. Who is basically her arm candy and the principal male role.
The way it goes for u guys who know not ballet. A grand pas is when the couple dances, then boy solo, girl solo, then they do a bunch of tricks and stuff in the coda, then finally they get back together and finish. A gppd in any ballet generally follows this format.
I took out most of the actual pas, and the sugar plumb variation cut both are eternally long.
