Added 2021-07-13 04:05:05 +0000 UTCSo late lastnight a friend of mine, her husband tried to hang himself and ended up in ICU. 3 days earlier her son tried to commit suicide in the same manner and is still in ICU. 2 ye@rs prior her oldest son hung and killed himself. Thankfully these two will make it but I can’t imagine how shes feeling and me and a few others have decided not to let her be alone during this time.
My son played football with her youngest son and they graduated high school together this spring also! It’s sad when u are this close to people yet don’t see any of the cracks forming before it’s to late!
I have been fortunate and never battled depression or a great loss like they have had, but I know the significance of it and how it can devastate lives! So for myself and others who don’t suffer from depression lets do what we can to help those that do. A small gesture can go a long way and sometimes people just need to be reminded that they aren’t alone and someone cares! As for those that do battle depression, there is always someone out there that cares, sometimes that someone is a stranger to you but there are good people in the world and there is always help if you seek it!
