Added 2021-05-23 00:08:08 +0000 UTCSo this happened today....I'm so sad about my poor baby and now I need to get a brand new windshield replacement. I found a guy who can help me get a replacement but it's gonna cost me and I'm not happy about this.
I was driving behind a car heading to these falls to do some hiking with a friend and the car in front of me decided to run past the Boom Barrier that was already going down which I might add did not have any flashing lights to forewarn people ahead of time. Although I will admit I should have been watching the road ahead of me a bit better but I did not see that boom barrier going down due to how big the car in front of me was and that also never went down like it did today compared to all the times I've come to this place so that also caught me off guard. So as the car in front of me goes off my sight, I noticed the boom barrier way too late and did not get enough time to stop myself from avoiding it. So I had to make the quickiest decision to either go off the road and get hit by a bunch of cars and cause a chain reaction due to the high volume of traffic there was or just try to brake as much as I can to lessen the impact of having no choice but to run through the boom barrier. It almost completely shattered my windshield but at the very least nobody got hurt!
