Bobsleigh is a winter ❄️ sport that was developed by the English in Switzerland at the end of the 19th century and is now part of the Olympic programme at the Winter ❄️ Olympics. Etymologically, the word "bob" comes from "to bob". And indeed, the very first bobsleigh riders tried to give the bobsleigh more speed by rhythmically moving back and forth. It was not until the 1970s that the sports bobsleds used had aerodynamic panelling and the front runners could be steered using a cable pull (steering cables).
