And my mom has been enjoying having her own Thanksgiving on that saturday of the long weekend. So make that 2 Thanksgivings lol i also decided to take on the tradition of baking everyone a cake from scratch for their birthday. Both out of love and cuz im broke as fuck and i can do that. But of course i couldnt make boring cakes. So i took on cakes that took 4-5 hours in the kitchen 🤣 they turned out delicious! But were very time consuming. And now this sunday im having a few family members over for small humans first birthday. So ive been prepping all week. Ive been sewing and cooking. And plan to have a bake-a-thon on saturday. I wanna bake a small "smash cake" for small human to go crazy with and get frosting all over lol and then a cake for us to actually eat. And im overzealous so i wanna do cookies or cupcakes too... or both lol So ill just have a buffet of sweets! Ive also tried baking bread and biscuits as well. They turned out good! But practice makes perfect. Ive learned that weighing the flour is important. Ive also decorated for Christmas! And have my tree up and everything. It feels all cozy and lovely. Reminds me of having a baby last year 🥹 i didnt realize how my memories of my newborn were entwined with Christmas decor. So now Christmas seems to hold am extra special place in my heart. I think thats about it! Its a lot and ive made a lot! Basically im 100% in my mom / homemaker era lol how are you all? And what era of yourself are you in lately? ❤️
