Lemme elucidate on this topic// I LOVE being natural (most of the time), wearing little makeup, using minimal hair products, and opting out of any body altering surgeries. I’ve never really bought into the multimillion dollar beauty industry that hypnotizes women into thinking they have to change/enhance themselves in order to be beautiful by the standards of society.
It should go without saying that it doesn’t mean I don’t battle with my own insecurities regarding my physical aesthetic, but over the years I’ve learned how to cultivate love for those part of me that I view as less “pretty” or desirable.
That is part of what makes dressing up or puting on makeup soooo much fun for me! It’s not covering up what I hate, it’s accenting and amplifying the beauty already there😌
My hope is that more humans find love for the vessel they currently reside in. I honestly think everyone is a gorgeous masterpiece in their own unique way. Fuck the societal conditioning and comparison game (respectfully) heheh
