This one’s funny because Tris is referring to Mr Poindexter not wanting our monsters to go in the ocean, he says he knows for fact that 98% of all children that go in the ocean drown, and we should not be bad mothers by allowing it. Just FYI, Mr Poindexter makes up statistics and science “facts” whenever he wants - to make a point. Part of his job is pitching startup companies to venture capitalists, so I think he’s too trained in this kind of pitch😆 (He’s actually a physicist by education & career)
