Now that I have gotten your attention.....
This is a powerful moment in time we are all sharing. Even though isolation is key to getting through this, we are all going through this together. So pay attention. Take this moment seriously. But don’t let fear guide your behavior or decisions. Reach out to elderly friends, family, and neighbors. Help them get through this by offering to bring them their food or medications. Support local businesses. Send them donations now. They might not be here when this is all over if they are left on their own. They depend on the community to be able to serve the community. Take care of yourself. Go for walks, roll out your Yoga mat at home or in small groups, drink plenty of water, get enough sleep. When you encounter someone you want to hug. Don’t. And don’t shake hands. But be sure to look each other in the eye. Isolation may help you not catch the virus, but it harms in other ways. Connection comes in many forms and is key for human health, growth, and survival. At this point it certainly seems like we will all be damaged in varying degrees by this moment. But I would rather be damaged together than in isolation. Connection is much more powerful, contagious, and life altering than any virus. ✌️
