Role playing has the potential to be a very powerful spiritual practice. It contains the emotional seeds to open our heart and mind. Take submissive and dominant as an example. Assuming the role of sub gives us the opportunity to experience vulnerability. Taking the role of dominance awakens the nurturer in us. There is equal power in both of these roles. The vulnerable need nurturing, and nurturer’s need someone to take care of. Each feeds the other. Case in point; anyone who calls me “sir” gets the royal treatment. See how that works? ✌️
