Sri Yukteswar was a Yogi and a Vedic scholar from the 19th century. He brought to the West the concept of what is known as The Great Year. This philosophy teaches that time and human progress is cyclical, not linear. From our Darwinistic perspective we are thought to be as evolved as humanity has ever been, and everything that came before is considered less and less advanced and evolved. The Great Year teaches us that time and progress are cyclical and that there have been many Golden Ages and many Dark Ages in the past. We are talking way beyond recorded history. There are few material relics to prove this because of the great span of time. But the Pryamids and Stonehenge stand out as examples that go against the theory that cultures previous to ours had to be more primitive than ours. The Great Year spans 24,000 years. Imagine it as a clock face. Each Golden Age goes from 10-2. Each Dark Age from 5-7. We are currently at about 7:30. We have just entered the energy age. Think about all of the discoveries over the past 100 years relating to energy and this starts to make sense. I see it represented in my work. There are so many guys who lie down on my table and are so primed for energetic catharsis that I know I am only serving as the catalyst. They are already awake and aware of their own energy and of the energy they encounter with others. The more we begin to relate to one another from an energetic perspective, the more in we realize how much in common we all are. We really are all the same. This is the lesson humanity learns in this part of The Great Year. This is an exciting time to be alive, fellas.✌️
