So this scene is one of my favorites filmed in Palm Springs. Robert is awesome to connect and create with. He’s very present and very skillful in how he works a man’s body. But what makes this scene unique is that we got caught filming by the pool guys. They showed up unannounced and were literally just out of frame on the other side of the closed patio doors. At first I was going to edit this out of the scene. It would have been easy to do so. But after I watched it a couple of times I decided to leave it in for two reasons. First, our initial reaction of embarrassment about being caught is such a raw example of the patterning we all receive and buy into regarding sex; it is something done behind closed doors, in a dark room, where no one can see you. And second, how after our initial patterned reaction, we both said fuck it and continued what we were doing with no shame or self-consciousness. I look forward to the day where our second reaction becomes our first.😎
