One of the best ways to counter the religious rights hypocrisies is to re-define for ourselves the nature of god. It is time to recognize that God lives within each of us as the consciousness that is me. Toby Johnson writes that each of us must say and believe: “What I am is consciousness experiencing itself and willing its own expansion and evolution.” All the stuff that I think of as my ego is just a distraction. We, as human beings are carriers of consciousness. I love that term. God effects change on earth through our behavior and in how we treat others. Once we realize that WE are God, and WE are creating our reality, we can relax and release our fear of those claiming to be acting on God’s behalf, and begin to create a better world without all those knuckleheads. 💙
