(Bad photo btw lol) This is my Dream home, in every sense of the word, but after replacing several dozen gold doorknobs, painting, patching holes, and rewiring smoke detectors and bizarre plumbing, I admit it hasn’t been easy. I’ve learned so many worthwhile skills taking on this project, and now that I’m over a year into updating this home, it won’t be my last. I love all this work, the surprises, the perceived failures and mistakes. Today I’m wrapping up the fireplace, a feature that was never used by the previous owner in 15yrs. Now, I enjoy it as often as I possibly can.
