This is a reminder that everyone’s social media is just a highlight reel, not that it’s a bad thing; I think it’s a beautiful thing to share your happy moments. But don’t compare your entirety, your complicated daily ups and downs, your mundane realities, to someone’s mountain-top moments. The reality of these photos:
Yes the golden hour light was beautiful, the ocean was stunning and I enjoyed the warm evening. But I also broke my toe taking these photos, I did have a panic attack this day, I did have inner conflict this day. Was it still beautiful? Yes. Am I where I’m supposed to be? Yes. Is growth & life still painful and hard and imperfect? Yes. I’m grateful for all of the good, growing through all of the hard.
Your life, no matter what you’re feeling, no matter how messy it is right now, no matter how many expectations fell through this season for you, there’s still so much room, so much space for you to take your time. Your life is on time, you’re where you are supposed to be, be fully there.
