Added 2023-01-03 03:16:22 +0000 UTCWhelp. Dinner was a bit of a bust. 👎 We wound up late for the dinner reservation by about 40 minutes. The bus transportation just was not coming! We left the hotel 90 minutes prior, missed the first bus and had to wait 20 minutes for another one. We got to the connecting part and that bus did not come for 40 minutes. The weather was nice and I was enjoying the sunshine 🌞 anyway. We arrived to the restaurant about 30 minutes late and they sat us right away. I ordered a lovely soup to start and delicious steak, medium. The steak arrived..I took a few bites and then..... The fire alarm went off.... 🔥 We had to leave our just delivered steaks and evacuate. They had to evacuate 2 hotels and 3 restaurants. We were asked to not stand outside our restaurant and they were leading everyone past the pool. I looked in one of the windows of the neighboring restaurant and saw a 3 foot fire at the grill. I was thinking...OMG! Why isn't anyone putting that out! I grabbed my family and started rushing... well that's the 🔥 fire I guess. We were outside for a half hour at least. The family was playing Pokémon go and got some good things.... we had fun. I felt bad for the people that had to leave the hotel. We were allowed back in. Our potatoes gratin was still warm..I ate a few bites..packed up and left. They comped our meal which was nice. 😊 I'm back at home. No one was hurt.. but the other restaurant will be closed I imagine. Crazy night.... but everyone is safe. 🤪
