The truth is, preparing for my face makeover was a journey that took much longer than I ever imagined. I thought I was ready, thought I could just dive in and come out the other side transformed, but there were so many moments where fear crept in.
The weeks before the surgery were filled with endless research, consultations, second-guessing my choices, and wondering if I was doing the right thing. There were nights when I’d lie awake thinking about what it would mean to change the face I’d lived with for so long. Even though it felt like the wrong face, it was still my face. How do you prepare to let go of that? I spent months mentally preparing myself, slowly peeling back the layers of doubt, but the emotional toll was heavier than I anticipated.
