I went to play billiards today for the first time in my life š³ (yes, I know, never held a cue before lol). I honestly didnāt even plan on going, I just got invited kinda last minute and said yes becauseā¦ why not try something new once in a while, right? š So I threw on this oversized jacket that made me feel like a secret agent (or like a kid who stole her dad's suit hahaha) and somehow ended up in this dimly lit, slightly chaotic, VERY loud billiard place. I swear everyone there looked like they knew exactly what they were doing and I was just standing there holding the stick like it was a lightsaber or somethingš At first I was so awkward I just kept walking around the table pretending I was āthinking about strategyā when in reality I was trying to remember which ball was mineš Also, can we talk about how heavy that cue is?? I lowkey thought my wrist was gonna break when I tried to hit the ball properly. There was this one moment where I finally got the white ball to hit something and it actually worked and I felt like a literal pool goddess for two secondsā¦ until I accidentally knocked over someoneās beer bottle while celebrating. š¬ Classic me. But honestly, it was so much fun!! I didnāt expect to enjoy it this much, even though I was obviously terrible. It just felt nice to do something totally out of my usual bubble. Iām always either editing videos, studying, or doing yoga, so this was such a weird little detour from my usual day ā and I kinda loved it. Also, I looked super serious in my outfit but inside I was just a giggling mess every time I missed a shot by a mile š Should I go again sometime? Maybe Iāll actually pot a ball on purpose next time š Anyway. I smell like chalk now. And my back hurts. But 10/10 experience šš
