I've fallen into this trap a lot, too, and then thought it was no good to lose weight. So, the main differences between emotional hunger and physiological hunger: ☑️Physiological develops gradually, emotional develops abruptly. ☑️If you want a particular product, it's probably emotional hunger. With physical hunger - you usually don't care what you eat. ☑️ Emotional hunger is not related to when you eat; it can be right after a meal. ☑️ Eating when you are emotionally hungry causes guilt, but when you are physiologically hungry, it causes satisfaction. At times when I supposedly want to eat something, I simply ask myself the test question: do I want a boiled filet? If yes, then I am really hungry. If not, it's just a craving for a certain food due to boredom or to relieve stress. Always test yourself this way, with a product you don't really like and will only eat if you are really hungry - then you'll be ok👌
