It was never a big thing growing up. I would like it to be now. Im always looking for reasons to celebrate things so tbh, I’m enjoying Christmas for some dopamine and not capitalism or Jesus. We had some buddha statues around the house but my parents never explained who he was, talked about him or taught me anything by him. All I saw was some giant cartoonish fat dude all around the house staring at me and I didn’t know anything about him. 🤷🏻♀️ I spent most of my time in my room by myself reading. tbh, I was just kinda there and talked at? I’m growing into myself now. 😋 ♥️ 👋 🎁 Personally, I’ve never had a winter of snow and I find anyone from anywhere cold super fascinating. I’ve seen snowflakes once in Chicago during a video game tournament and it’s one of my fondest memories! It was so beautiful to witness and experience the cold for a minute. It kinda feels like I live in my own tropical planet where I am. 🌴 I love when people send me pictures of nature: snow capped deciduous trees, giant mountains, views and photos of animals from their corner of the world. It’s a completely different world from mine and so soothing to imagine and see. 🤯 I haven’t seen most of the world or America so I love when people show me photos from their wonderful life and places they got to be. It’s like I get to connect a little with humanity and enjoy a peek at their larger than life movies while I take a break from mine. I love hearing about other people’s holiday stories, experiences and traditions. I feel like I get to live through them and their soft talk inspires me to create memories and traditions for myself and my future family. I don’t know any of my grandparents names nor are they around anymore. I wasn’t really talked to or regarded growing up as an Asian girl so I uh…. have a lot of learning and loving to experience. I’m really happy that I’m in a place where I get to and choose to. I have a roof over my head, safety of my bed and internet. Im so thankful. 🙏🏽There’s so many Christmas songs and movies I have yet to experience. It’ll be nice to just hang out with some tea, coffee and cocoa. Ill cherish the chance to get to cook with someone, listen to them talk and just enjoy the cozy weather together . 🫶🎄♥️ Gang Gang said we must watch Christmas movies in between cleaning together. I spent a lot of time today growing my heart and boosting others by filling my personal apple Daily tv folder on tik tok. I hope I did enough boosting even tho I only have 300 followers. It felt more effective for me to do that rather than read news since my account is so small right now. Thanks for hanging out and growing with me. I’m happy with our journey.
