I learned a little tid bit of information earlier so I thought I'd share it with you all ....
Did you know.... The Michelin Man (the dude made out of a stack of tyres) is white because up until 1915 ish tyres were white. Rubber in its natural state is white, they were turned black by adding Carbon Black to them, making them stronger and more resistant to temperature changes; they lasted around 10 times longer.
While the tyres changed, the Michelin Man stayed the same....He's widely known as the Michelin Man, but he has an actual name! Bibendum (Latin for - to drink)
Also...Michelin tyres is the same company that gives out Michelin Stars!! (I mean, yes, same name, buuuuuuut, I never knew this!)
