Written Labour & birth Vlog It had been an exciting 42 weeks of being pregnant! I had been well over due and booked in to get induced. Thankfully, I happened to go into labour naturally the night before I was planned to get induced. Contractions started to happen late afternoon, and progressed as the night went on. My supportive husband drove me to the hospital and that’s when contractions started getting intense. Midwife’s we’re coming and going and I was trying to get comfortable on the bed. Next minute a doctor arrived to check up on baby and was not happy with the heart rate being so low. Baby was under stress with each contraction. An emergency c section was decided to go ahead, and at this point in time I told hubby to switch off my camera. The doctor had to break my waters and start preparing. I was nervous, screaming in a lot of pain and so scared for my baby. At this point I was already 4cm dilated and since the doctor broke my waters, the pain came on even more aggressive. I was having contractions every 1 min and lasting up to a minute. Next minute the anaesthetist came in wearing his joggers, he must have been on call, and it was 3am in the morning. By the time he came in and prepared me for epidural for c section I was already 10cm dilated and ready to push. The doctor wanted me to push this baby out as quick as I can as it was now too late for emergency c section. Surprisingly the pushing part was more tolerable than dilating. And at this point I told hubby to switch the camera back on and to stand the tripod from side view as I did not want my baby to be shown on camera for privacy reasons. I pushed my baby out with the help and encouragement of the health professionals and hubby. I felt everything, stretching of my vagina as the head was slowly coming through. Yes it was very uncomfortable but I did it. And what motivated me was doing this for my baby. I didn’t care how much it hurt. I then felt the rest of the body slide through and then next moment I had my beautiful baby laying on my chest. Perfect, healthy and absolutely breath taking. I’m so happy to be able to share this special moment with my fans. The support and positive experiences you have all given me has made my journey unforgettable. Thank you ❤️
