



It's stretching time! What's your favorite pose? I considered not posting pictures of myself doing yoga because I didn't want to be considered a "yoga person" or for it to become part of my persona, but I want to be authentic with you, too. I slipped a disk having sex as a teenager (no, I am not kidding) and suffered for years and years with persistent back pain. In the last year I've completely turned this around with a daily yoga routine. The difference is light and day. I'm able to touch my toes, garden for hours, and lay down flat on my back in bed, all stuff that felt impossible before. It really is therapeutic and makes me feel at home with my body. If you're reading this and you don't think yoga is for you because you're not spiritual or a health nut or fit enough: you don't need to be any of these things to benefit from it. I bought an app for a dollar and my life hasn't been the same since. You don't have to get an incense holder or start reading tea leaves or put up a tapestry with a mandala on it to do yoga.
