Story time: (I’m a bartender, btw) My managers wanted to believe other people over me. And asked me to do something that I now realize is against HIPPA laws. I broke a few glasses in an hour. Someone overheard me say that I saw a friend for lunch who bartended at this place before work. So I had TWO. Two beers. One before my meal and one with. But because I broke glasses, and they listened to other people, even though I was literally on the floor crying last night telling them I was sober, they fired me. Made me overturn my pockets with my dab (weed) pen in it. Which I have a medical card. I am a legal patient. So they weren’t actually allowed to do that. But they used that as “proof” that I wasn’t sober. Even though I would never come into a shift unable to work it properly. Trying to say that someone heard me go "omg I'm so intoxicated 🤪" and I don't say shit like that even when I am druUunk. Unless someone is taking care of me, then I'll say "I'm sorry I'm druUunk 😩" But never like the other statement. And at work? Get fucking real. Tried to say I was slurring my words and shit. even though I was talking very coherently when I was getting fired. Despite crying. and my GM? Just last week he hit a dab pen out on the patio, in front of cameras, and then walked around the restaurant talking about how high he was. But I get fired? Ok ok I have NEVER been done so dirty by a company before. Anything helps, seriously. I was expecting to have 3 more days to make money for Christmas gifts. And now I have nothing. Shit sucks lol
