Added 2021-04-05 23:34:40 +0000 UTCi go to sleep at night listening to the trains outside, wondering who's on it at 11pm, the last train home to nowhere. through the night you can hear the freight trains, the cargo trains which rattle the most but that make the nicest sounds. if you looked outside my window there's a little break in the trees just where a train tunnel ends and through the darkness is this quick flash of light over as quickly as you can see it - that's my favourite train to look out for. when you don't have the luxury of somebody's breath soothing you to sleep, you tend to listen for the little things which suggest there are other people out there, maybe some as lonely as you. i love the sounds of the trains, but i'd rather it would your heartbeat next to mine, syncing together, your breath falling slowly on the back of my neck as you hold me, and we drift off to sleep, without my need to count the trains so much. goodnight xox
