ALREADY I’m running into a political issue! Originally, this series was going to be called “The Politics of Sex” but because OFTV is in the Apple store, all channels need to be considered “safe for work”. Using the word “sex” in a title is considered NSFW, even if the content is informative or educational. This is exactly the problem! We silence conversations about sex and make them taboo, when they’re actually really important conversations we need to be having. It’s questionable if this is a violation of our right to free speech by censoring or forbidding certain words outside of hate speech. This series is attempting to tackle that taboo head on.
