I've just finished reading "The Three-Body Problem" by Liu Cixin, and I'm still reeling from the experience. One of the most striking aspects of the book was its scientific rigor, seamlessly interwoven with cultural references and historical context, particularly from Chinese history. Initially, I felt that the characters were portrayed not as individuals but as caricatures in a "sea of humanity". However, as the story progressed, I found myself growing fond of them. It's incredible how Liu Cixin managed to capture both the uniqueness of each individual and their insignificance when viewed from a larger perspective (and just how large the perspective is, you can see at the end, I won't tell you any spoilers though). The VR game within the story initially confused me, and to be honest, I never fully grasped its intricacies. I would probably be the person who would quit the game after a few hours, never to return. I guess I'm not enough of a scientist to appreciate it fully! 😄 This is one of the best sci-fi books I've read this year, although it might not surpass Andy Weir's "Project Hail Mary" for me. I'm eagerly looking forward to the TV series adaptation. I'm curious to see how the creators will manage to translate the book's lengthy scientific and technical descriptions, abstract discussions, and the fantastical atmosphere of the Three-Body universe into a TV format. 🔒 Nude Reader
