One of my good friends and one of this community’s top creators, @roni_lyn , had her free account eliminated because of an image she posted in a direct message. While I don’t know every detail, I do know that the primary “offense” was something that was perfectly legal until recently…recently enough that I wasn’t aware of the rule change and had a contest with a similar theme slated to start in the coming days. To the creators who tipped me off about this rule change, thank you!! I could’ve easily been next! If OF decides they don’t want certain content, that’s fine…it’s their platform and we have to play by their rules. But three things are readily apparent to me: 1.OF isn’t communicating updates to terms of service very well…if at all. 2.OF is really scouring over our DMs way more closely than they ever have before. Just last week I was getting notifications that they were deleting DMs I sent as far back as January, and other creators reported the same. 3.Punishment for rules infractions can be as little as a dm saying not to do something, or the complete destruction of your account. It’s that last point that should scare everybody here. It happened to @roni_lyn today, but it could be you or me tomorrow. I advise everybody to be super careful right now. If you were considering a vacation or a mental health break from this site, I wouldn’t blame you in the slightest. P.S. If you have a large balance of money sitting in OF…I would withdraw it.
