It is a tangent festivity to the Feast of Saint Nicholas (so the evening of December 5th) that's been gaining popularity in recent years and has jumped the pond to the US. A few years ago I made a costume for Krampusnacht because I was so intrigued by the relatively unheard of legend of Santa's infernal helper, and I decided to make a costume a collaborate a fun shoot at a local Christmas lights park!
