Added 2021-12-19 02:40:14 +0000 UTCI took a much needed trip to the coast this weekend so I could bathe in both the ocean and moonlight, and reset my spirit. And when I think of the ocean, I think of selkies. I've been fascinated with the lore of selkies and similar myths for a long time, and whenever I return to the ocean it feels like coming back to my original home. And like coming home, it's a chance to clean my spiritual laundry and start fresh. Maybe not the strongest metaphor, but I'm tired and for fact have sand in my vagina (and my ears, and my nose, and my hair ). ^^; I spent most of the day today looking for a relatively private spot and waiting for good lighting, but the weather was so nice today that several families were out and it was direct sunlight until late afternoon. Luckily I was able to perch on some dunes that provided cover from the road and the beach so I could snap some quick shots before I lost the light. I hope y'all enjoy!
