I’ve talked about going to mortuary school in the past and as much as it’s something I would love to peruse, I don’t feel like it’s written in the stars for me. The closest mortuary schools are about 4 hours away and moving away from my family is just not something I am comfortable doing or even okay doing. My family is a HUGE support system for me and I just truly don’t feel like I am someone that can leave them, even if it’s a couple of years. That is a couple years too much for me.
I have been looking into other routes and something that sparked a HUGE interest for me is being a surgical technologist!! There are a ton of schools that offer that program and the more I look into it and read about it, the more it seems like something I very much would love to pursue :) I’m going to be having a meeting with an advisor very soon to talk more about it and see what classes I’m already credited for and what it would actually mean to get back into school!! I miss learning so much and I have felt so lost and it scares me to think about not having a seat at the table of life but this has sparked up that hope to keep pushing and knowing there could be a chance for me. I’m excited for the first time in a long time to live life and having a future for myself. I feel that drive again
