Added 2022-11-09 02:20:30 +0000 UTCYou glow differently when your confidence come from belief in yourself and not validation from others. ____________ When you’re presence is requested at a closed meeting with @phillymayor Secretary of State and Director of HUD @secfudge , UN Ambassador @ambsusanrice and HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) to discuss homelessness in Philadelphia @cityofphiladelphia - the sense of accomplishment and pride is overwhelming!! Just wow. Also present were Deputy Commissioner of Health and Human Services- Eva Gladstein Commissioner Office of Supportive Housing- Liz Hersh Seated at the Round Table next to Executive Director of Women Against Abuse we spoke on the profound correlation between domestic violence or intimate partner violence and homelessness in Philadelphia. We discussed the importance of maintaining and increasing budgets for our programs in order for them to work efficiently as a collective; for survivors to rebuild and to be able to maintain sustainability in their lives after abuse. My heart is so full 💜
