I am out of the fight. I injured my knee last week and unfortunately I was showing no signs of healing even after PT and rest. My team made the very difficult decision to pull me from the fight. It was extremely hard to come to terms because I have been working so hard this camp and have made an immeasurable amount of sacrifices. It was very clear to me that this was the best decision we could make because win or lose- if it resulted in injuring my knee worse, it simply is not worth it. We loved this fight and hope that we can get it rescheduled once we know the severity of my injury. I spoke with my surgeon over the weekend and he wants to order an mri this week. The only problem with that is I don’t have insurance. Self pay is around $500 and then to get in with my surgeon to read the scan and examine my knee is $300. I’m raising a total of $800 for medical costs. I don’t know what I would do without this platform and the connections and friendships I have made. Your love and support since I started on OF has been truly amazing and for that, I am forever grateful.
