

no longer human junji ito speaking of separating art from the artist like i was tuesday ,,, the original novel no longer human is one of those where i think it's really important not to separate the art from the artist. so much of no longer human actually happened in osamu dazais life, to the point it makes me sick. i hate him, actually. i thought this version would be a better reading experience than the original, and it is, but i still hate it. i will say i loved (most of) the alternate ending with the surprise osamu dazai cameo. that was really surprising and fun. gotta be my least favorite junji ito ever tho. 5/10. he did the best that he could with what he had to work with
