Added 2023-11-21 19:28:01 +0000 UTCthe testaments by margaret atwood this book is straight crack. it’s somehow even better than the first one. i kept forgetting to breathe. i couldn’t stop reading to eat. i couldn’t have stopped reading if you put a gun to my head. words can not do it justice, at least not my puny, myopic words. i gave the handmaids tale a 10/10, and this one’s even better imo, so i guess i’ll have to break the scale for this rating and go 11/10. i might even go as far as 12 if the cover wasn’t so damn ugly. the beginning seemed drawn out and the ending seems rushed, but i didn’t dislike the pacing enough to let it impact my overall rating
