They’re often based abroad. They are after money, and their best tactic in ROMANCE FRAUD is to give you sob stories - they have ‘medical bills’ they can’t afford (we have free healthcare in the UK btw), or a sock relative abroad needs help, or they need money to fly to see a relative etc. (Bear in mind: I live near london, I am English and so is my entire family). Or a catfish might even ask for money for a plane ticket in order to come visit you, hotel costs etc. But of course they will then not turn up, and might even then give you a sob story as to why they couldn’t make their flight. I’ve even heard of a catfish using my name asking for money for university costs! (I’ve finished my degree and I’ll be paying off my student loan through my wages like all normal uk graduates). Don’t get me wrong - my only fans etc isn’t free - because this is my job! And like anyone, I pay the bills with it! But I EARN my money. I don’t fake sob stories and ask for it. I also don’t pretend I’m going to me3t someone, get married, am in love with someone etc etc. I’m a genuine person and have been a professional model for 19 years now!!
