It's been a minute since I included my warm up in the video...

It's been a minute since I included my warm up in the video. This isn't much of a warm up but more of a learning my body again and again.. this journey doesn't end. My hips have been a source of resistance since I tore my groin when I was younger. They shape my movement and control the trajectory of my body. You know how they say if you don't use it you'll lose it.. yeah, well, I personally think this applies most to dancers. The feet alone. I used to work for hours on shaping and stretching my feet.. taking just a week off showed. But hips for a dancer really are the most important part of the body to maintain strength and flexibility. They control the turn out for the feet..and everything. So, it's been a ~journey with this bod. I gave up dancing at one point. Could barley do it at home or when I went out. My body became foreign to me. It wasn't until a relationship shattered and brought me back to me. So ya here I am.

It's a liberating journey releasing the rigid expectations my ballet-trained brain has put on this sweet body of mine. Still frustrating to watch my craft continue to shift, but I'm learning how to use my body as the tool for reaching ecstatic pleasure and meditative spaces. For me and for you ;)
