Added 2023-06-03 12:22:48 +0000 UTCBRANDS HATCH RACE REPORT Just realised it's Mallory in a week and I've not done a Brands report yet... Qualifying went OK, P11 with a 56.2 was an improvement on last year but a little disappointing, I wanted a 55 and had a 55.5 optimal on the garmin, just couldn't string it together. Race 1 I got a decent start but was clipped and ent sideways into turn 1, a steady race I finished in P9 on the road later the car in P8 was disqualified so P8 officially. Race 2 starting P3 not so good a start and I ended up doing the very thing that someone had done to me in turn 1, clipping another car who ended up sideways in front of me (Sorry Dan!) Blocked in behind him saw me lose a lot of places, then later in lap 1 the leader span, the cars in front of me slammed on their brakes as did I, unfortunately the car directly behind didn't stop in time and hit me, spinning me round (captured by @sjnphotographer ). The rest of the race was spent trying to make up positions, i had fun and some good battles, but also a lot of contact. Finished in P18 with a bruised and battered car, but luckily nostly cosmetic damage.
